MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT FOR SOCIAL ANXIETYSOCIAL ANXIETY CAN BE DEBILITATING, EMBARRASING AND FRIGHTENING Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD & Social Phobia) is chronic mental health condition, where social interactions, and even the thought of them, cause irrational worry. SAD is quite common amongst youth, and has become even more so, since 'Covid'. Lockdowns, instability around schooling, loss of income for families, unexpected restrictions, face masks and social isolation has caused a surge in Social Phobias in many people, especially our young. Just some of the signs that SAD is present are, particularly in a social environment are: feeling nauseus, upset stomach, racing heart, feeling dizzy, confusion, inability to communication effectively, blushing, drop in feeling of confidence, fear of speaking to others, muscle tightening. Although the feeling of having social anxiety can seem crippling, it is a mental health issue which can definitely be overcome (and I know that from personal experience). Should you have gripping fear when in a social circumstance, or if even the thought of speaking to others makes you feel ill, I'm here to help. You can definitely gain confidence and leave the anxiety behind and I can show you how. "Worry ends when faith begins" 2 Cor 5:7 |
